Colour Purple Musical Premiere Stars Ensembles ~ Oprah Winfrey in Dolce & Gabbana

Inspired by the artistry of both the stars themselves and their regal wardrobe choices for the premiere of The Color Purple The Musical, lets talk about 7 of these jaw dropping gowns and ensembles for the incomparable cast worn by: Oprah Winfrey, Alicia Keys, Fantasia Barrino, H.E.R, Tarij P. Henderson, Danielle Wilson & Andra Day.  In keeping with the symbolism of 'The Color Purple' denoting royalty, rich spiritual wealth and high-honor; and that which is divine beauty ~ spirituality and grace ~ each and every star shined so brightly the synergy was like the Pleiades star cluster. In keeping with the awareness that the book the film and the musical seek to raise, the Color Purple is the official ribbon colour for ending domestic violence

Lets start with the dress seen here from Oprahs  musical producer Oprah Winfrey who originally played in the role of film version based on the book by Alice Walker, 'Celie'.
Oprahs choice was a monochrome wardrobe: a Dolce & Gabbana lavender gown which we will discuss first, and a second gown also by D&G of vibrant violet sequins. A soft and super feminine Lilac purple 2 piece pantsuit by Dries Van Noten, flattered her in everyway.

The lavender gown as designed by Dolce & Gabbana was made of custom silk, features a long train with modest slit. Long sleeves with a square front neckline.
It is definitely #bodycon style as it is fitted to showcase her swvelt figure. Oprah pairs the show stopping eveningdress with a super clear large amethyst ring on her left hand, and a diamond cluster on her right from Effy Jewelers, long diamond drop earrings courtesy of Hamilton Jewellers. Completing the ensemble with a matching tone rhinestone clutch and matching lace sling back low heel shoes.
